Eliot P. Sands, Associate Attorney
Eliot is originally from Concord, NH, and believes that although it is possible for life to bring the boy out of New England, New England will always remain in the man. He graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, with a degree in Public Policy Analysis in 2020. He attended the University of Washington School of Law, earning his JD in 2024.
Public Service has been Eliot’s passion for years. He has interned with members of Congress, volunteered at various pro bono legal service clinics, interned at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and was a Rule 9 intern at the UW student legal services. He also participated in the mediation clinic and the trial advocacy program at UW. Eliot joined Alford & Associates as a parents’ defense associate in the fall of 2024 and has become a vital member of the team. He is dedicated to making sure the Court understands his clients and considers their perspectives. Eliot has served clients in his dependency caseload with the respect, kindness, and calm that are integral to parents’ defense.
His interests outside of court include hiking, skiing, animals of all shapes and sizes, especially birds, dogs, and cats, exploring the forests, coasts, and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, Red Sox baseball, and history. He dislikes the New York Yankees, slow left-lane drivers, and tomatoes.
He will do everything in his power to keep your family together. He looks forward to getting to know you, and your story.
